Ontario Provincial Police Investigate Fatal Collision
A tragic incident on Highway 401 near Kingston, Ontario, has claimed the lives of two individuals. On Saturday, multiple tractor trailers collided on the westbound lanes of the highway close to Gardiners Road, leading to a fatal crash. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Highway 401 Reopens After Investigation
After the police investigation was completed, both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 401 were temporarily closed. The eastbound lanes were closed between Gardiners Road and Highway 407, while the westbound lanes were shut down near Kingston. The highway has since reopened to traffic after the necessary cleanup and safety inspections were carried out.
Two Killed in Kingston Crash
The South Frontenac OPP confirmed the heartbreaking news that two people, unfortunately, lost their lives during the serious crash on Highway 401.
